gee-zer-OUGHT-e, n., Old farts with an edge.
el-der-OUGHT-e, n., Senior citizens with an edge.
Whichever term you use -- elderatti or geezeratti -- it means the same thing. Oldsters with an edge, who never were, and have no intention of becoming, stereotyped senior citizens.
Some people make the mistake of thinking that only young people have original ideas or a pioneering spirit.
Of course that's not true!
Many times, the mutt who jumps on your lap at the animal shelter has more life, more charisma, than the people you interact with on a daily basis.
Does that mean you should slow down, sit down, and pay attention to the important things in life like forgotten dogs and forgotten dreams, and everything you lost when you sacrificed yourself for the Good Life, American style?
Of course it does.
Forget appearances. Live your life from the inside out. You've earned it.
Get an edge. Turn off the machine. You don't have to be old to be a geezeratti. But it helps.
